We are looking for an exceptional Group Head of Engineering to provide strategic leadership across our Engineering function and play a pivotal role within the senior leadership team.

This is a significant opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who combines strong technical expertise with commercial and strategic thinking. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team spanning mechanical, electronics, embedded and manufacturing engineering, shaping the engineering strategy and ensuring our capabilities support the Group's long-term ambitions.

You will be instrumental in driving innovation, developing products from concept through to manufacture and customer support, and building a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement and accountability.

The Opportunity

As Group Head of Engineering, you will:

Set the strategic direction for Engineering, aligned with business objectives, growth plans and market opportunities.
Lead innovation and technology development, including technology roadmaps and the management and protection of intellectual property.
Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, ensuring the right capability, structure and succession plans are in place.
Own the product development lifecycle, from concept and design through development, validation and transition into manufacturing.
Establish robust engineering processes, governance and standards to support quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Commercial, Manufacturing and Operations to translate technical capability into business value.
Engage with customers and key stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure solutions meet expectations.
Take responsibility for the Engineering budget, including forecasting, cost control and capital expenditure planning.
Ensure engineering activities meet all relevant regulatory, legal, customer, health, safety and environmental requirements.
Build strong strategic relationships with international suppliers and partners, with travel as required.
Provide clear reporting to the Senior Leadership Team on performance, risks and key KPIs.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for an experienced engineering leader with:

Proven leadership experience in a senior engineering role, ideally within a design and manufacturing environment.
A strong technical background in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
The ability to lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects while operating at both strategic and operational levels.
Demonstrable strategic thinking combined with strong execution capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence at executive level.
Strong financial and commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
Experience working in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
